What Does A Dental Examination Involve?
Firstly the dentist will first carry out a thorough check of your mouth, including your teeth and gums.
They will use a small mouth mirror to look closely in your mouth and identify any areas of decay, plaque build up or gum disease.
It may also be necessary for you to have x-rays taken to fully assess any problem areas.
If necessary they will also remove any calculus or staining that can accumulate over time.
If you require any further treatment the dentist will discuss all the possible options available, allowing you to make a fully informed decision on the treatment needed.
